Hey Oh!

This week has been so crazy it has me wishing this giant prozac pill was real (Find them here). Last Thursday I threw my back out lifting kiddos at work which seriously cramped my style. All week I have been alternating between icing it and using the heating pad in addition to the large amounts of ibuprofen I have been downing for the pain. On top of that, the older of the two kiddos brought home a cold from pre school and infected the rest of us with it. I also have million unfinished projects, my house is a MESS, and I am overall just feeling frazzled and stressed about life. However, I am optimistic that I can pull it together for tomorrow and have a productive week. I don't know about anyone else but Sunday nights always, always make me feel bleh.
On another happier note, this pretty little dream catcher came in the mail for me this week...

I ordered it from Red Velvet Art and I couldn't wait to hang it up and yay! It looks perf! (abreve for perfect). I love buying handmade things because when I look at it, not only do I enjoy its cuteness but I love thinking about the person whose imagination dreamed it up and then created it. It wasn't made in a sad little factory somewhere but in someone's home. I am rambling now (which I tend to do from time to time) but essentially what I am trying to say is that I like stuff with a story I guess.

This week my kitchen got some use other than making oatmeal, peanut butter toast, or slice and bake cookies which made me feel better. It wasn't a lavish or complicated meal by any means but it was delicious. Luis made skirt steak and I made some potatoes and a salad. It is probably one of my favorite meals just because it is simple, healthy, comfort food (and it reminds me of my momma).

I don't have any pictures of the steak because a very hungry boy ate most of his before the potatoes were ready. We then watched a few episodes of "The Office" because we have been watching the series through from the beginning over the past few weeks. I forgot how ridiculous and funny that show it is. Well, I am off to do a little bit more painting and then I am headed to bed. I think one more night with the heating pad and the tempurpedic pillow and I'll feel like a new woman.
