Life Update

First of all, Hoppy Easter! I hope everyone had a good holiday. Things have been nutso around here as usual. I did manage to make it home to Ocala last weekend and spend some time with my parents for Easter. We went to eat at this new place called "Dish."

It was really neat. Its sort of a country market/restaurant. Its all organic and quite delicious. I had an organic cheese burger with no bun because I'm gluten free, some gluten free bbq kettle chips, and an ice cold glass bottle of Coke (the best way to drink it). It was the best burger I've had in a while too. Really juicy and you could tell the beef was hormone/chemical free real organic beef. Mmm! Dish is located in a really pretty part of Ocala too. Surrounded by horse farms and a few other little country shops. I popped into an antique shop with my mom and actually scored two Pyrex mixing bowls that completed a set I had. Win. 

Later my dad made lemon drop martinis for us. I have to say, its so weird drinking with my parents. When I was growing up they were super religious and strict and they NEVER drank. They were all "alcohol is the devil" about it. Now that we (their children) are all adults and certain life events (my divorce) have happened. It has changed their tune about a lot of things they used to believe.  

I spent Sunday with Luis and because neither of us are super religious we skipped the whole church thing and went to eat at our favorite sushi place. It was the only thing that was open. The rest of the day was spent being lazy and watching the new episode of Mad Men.

Tuesday, Luis took me to see Aziz Ansari at the UCF arena. I had a great time and I finally got to wear my new Modcloth dress. As soon as I saw this "Good Enough to Eat" dress I knew I needed it.  I love the junk food pattern so much. The show was amazing and I laughed soo hard that a few tears may have squeezed out. 

Other than that it has been work, work, work, study, study, study around here. I can't believe its already April 12th. When did that happen? Well, I better get back to work so I can play, play, play this weekend.
