Painted Feather DIY

I recently made this pretty painted feather garland to hang over my T.V. in my room. I thought it turned out really nice so I figured I would share how made it.

Supplies Needed: Large faux craft feathers, 1 or 2 different colors of acrylic paint, paint brushes, washi tape (not pictured), needle, and thread.

Step One: Lay your feathers out and tape them down using the Washi tape. I used four pieces of tape to create the chevron pattern.

Step Two: Paint inside the taped area. I chose to use two colors for this DIY, mint and gold. You can just use one color if you want like I did with the black paint on the one at the top of the post. You can even add a third color/stripe if you feel like it.

Step Three: Wait for the paint to dry completely and then peel off the tape. Grab the tape from the point and pull it downward so you don't jack up your new paint job.

Step Four: Use the needle and thread to string them together and make a garland. I think they also look pretty hung in a cluster like this...

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy painting feathers!
